According to the CIA World Fact Book (April 2024), there are 262 'World Entities,' defined as 'Independent Entities' (e.g. USA, Canada, etc.), 'Other' (Antarctica, EU), 'Dependent Entities' (e.g. Hong Kong, Guam, Puerto Rico, etc.), 'Unresolved' (e.g. Gaza Strip, West Bank, etc.), and 'Other Entities' (5 oceans plus the world as a whole). Therefore, we've been to 47% of total World Entities (119 'Independent' or 'Dependent' plus both 'Other' as well as all 6 'Other Entities').
